Desserts at Cheng Huang Temple

Black Sesame with Walnut Paste, Almond Paste, Mango with Pomelo, Tang Yuan with Peanuts and Sesame and Durian Crepe... all from HoneyMoon Dessert... hmmmm what a name!

Cheng Huang Temple

It means the Temple of the Town Gods. It was destroyed in the Culture revolution, and what remains now is the reconstruction of the old architecture. A lot of shops selling Chinese art piece and different types of souvenirs. Nice place to walk.... go on a weekday though!

Suzhou No. 1 Silk Mall

Suzhou is also famous for its silk production. In this factory we saw how the silk is processed from the silk worm to the final woven cloth. And my goodness.... it takes a lot of silk-worms to make silk.

Scenes from Suzhou

We took a 1 day tour to Suzhou Gardens and visited The Humble Administrator's Garden and The Lion Grove Garden.... and these are some of the pics we took... according to the Cherry, Suzhou is China's well-known "city of gardens", which tops all others in both the number and the artistry of gardens. Suzhou's art of gardening has undergone a history of 1, 500 years. There were once over 200 gardens in the city, and 69 of them are still in good preservation today.

The Humble Adminstrator's Garden - The garden is most representative of Chinese classical gardens in the Ming Dynasty. It covers nearly 4 hectares of land.

The Lion Grove Gadren - this Garden is particularly well-known for the great quantities of its Taihu rocks that form an intriguing maze of mountain paths and varied scenes.

My Tour Guide

This sweet little lady goes by the name of Cherry... "Hi, my name is Cherry, C-H-E-R-R-Y" That was how she introduced herself... She looks so cute carrying that green flag!!!
