The Dim Sum Dollies® (Selena Tan, Pam Oei and Emma Yong) star in this all-time favourite musical given a local dim sum twist! They play kay-poh-chee storytellers out to fight the battle between good and an evil orchid!

Hilarious fun and great songs for the whole family!

Directed by Glen Goei and also starring Hossan Leong, Dave “Electrico” Tan and Lim Yu-Beng.

Happy Mid Autumn Festival

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! According to the Chinese calendar, today is the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month. Lantern, Piglet Biscuits known by the Cantonese as "Jue Zai Bang", Pomelo and of course Mooncakes.... I've never gone ga-ga over them. Ever since young, I've never really enjoy it... kind of too sweet for me. Well, this is probably a good thing for me considering the amount of calories that mooncakes contain.

Interesting facts about mooncakes!
  • A mooncake holds up to 14 teaspoons of sugar (the recommended daily dose is 10 or less)
  • A mooncake has also up to 6 teaspoons of fat - half the recommended daily limit
  • A 180g mooncake contains 800 calories - equivalent to three bowls of white rice, and more than 1/3 of a regular person's daily caloric intake.

A visit to Clarke Quay

My jaw nearly dropped when Xiaowei told me about this... look at it... rather obsene right? The giant Dr Seuss - lilypad umbrellas and what is that below?! Plain offensive
The shophouses, now painted in rainbow colours look like Jellybean Town to me!

Unqiue Flower

I do not know what this flower/plant is called.... but I think it is very unique...

Some flowers I snapped along the way...

This is Gizmo

No... not my new pet... we were visiting the florist when we saw a guy carry a parrot on his shoulder... we were amazed by it all and struck a conversation with the guy... he even said we could hold it and allowed us to take a picture with it!... very beautiful isn't it...

We asked why Gizmo didn't and will not fly away... and lo and behold.. the owner told us the wings are clip/cut away... poor Gizmo... somehow I pitied this little thing... you can see from these pictures that it's wings are cut off... poor thing!

We ordered the mix bah kut teh... there was everything in it... even clams... NICE!

Also ordered lean Zhu Jiao... was we specially requested... You Tiao and Cai Boey... the later had lard in it! Fattening! But the smell was nice! After a sumptuous lunch.. we proceed to the new shoopping area call Tebrau City for another round of shopping!

But not before stopping by this road side stall.... William says this uncle's rojak is very famous... even got newpaper cutting and of course the long queue...
