X-Men III - the last stand

Xmen... Has anyone else heard that there's actually more than one scene after the end credits?

There are 5 apparently:

1) Prof X's mind is inhabiting the body of the comatose man who's being treated by Dr Moira McTaggert. Yes, that same guy Prof X was talking to his students about during his ethics class.
2) Jean's not really dead. It showed her tombstone shaking.
3) Scott's not dead either cos there's a scene where there's a faint red glow in Alkali Lake. (He's in a cocoon perhaps?)
4) Magneto and Mystique are reunited.
5) Pyro rejoins Xavier's Institute.

The one of it which is shown in Singapore is like this...

Arnolds Chicken with Yueming

Arnolds at City Plaza... we ordered the 2 person combo meal.. 5 Chicken Coleslaw, 2 drinks, 2 buns... $18.10...
This is how the fried chicken looked like... how does it taste? Hmmm... juicier than KFC for sure... Crispier... chicken pieces were slightly bigger... so my verdict for this is not too bad!

She insist of having Ice Kachang... so we ordered... in the end... ordered so many other side dishes... that we could not finish... or rather... I could not finish.... she ended up eating everything! :P

Btw.. they have a website and delivery service too... http://www.arnoldsfriedchicken.com/

Causeway Bay Cafe

So many of these HK cafe popping up everywhere! New one along Liang Seah Street... Decor ok... presentation - trying very hard! Food - sucks!

Like I said... presentation was good... our drinks came in these small little jars... I thought to myself... 'not to bad ah'... but was disappointed when I took my first sip! It was rather dilute!!

The food was worst... totally horrible.. The fried rice with prawn paste chicken was like soggy.. it was horrible! The condense milk with butter and toast was ok... just that I wonder why 3 slice of bread and only 1 piece is with the milk?!

Long Beach Seafood

Huge Alaska Crab... crawing everywhere... 1 even tried to escape!

Mini Geoduck with Thai Seasoning... really MINI!!!!

Nope... we did not have Alaska Crab... where to expensive! But we did have Lobster with Portugese Sauce... Verdict... lobster meat very little!

Finale... the Pepper Crab... difference between this and the one at Still Road?? This version is to the dry side... without any sauce.. and the butter smell is very strong here... those the end product is like buttery pepper crab!

The desserts were served in a very glam way... see.... even got dry ice effect!

Davinci Code

At last... called so many places... all fully booked... and I finally got my tickets to watch it tonight! Hope it will not be a disappointment!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back from the movie.... a bit of theology knowledge and maybe a little bit of philosophy before seeing the movie I guess... Not for everyone. Some audience yawning and Gladdy got a few winks!
I know that I shouldn't be comparing the movie to the book cos if the movie were to replicate the book, it would be a mini series instead of a movie... but alot of things were missing! Hmmm...
I would definitely promote it to friends... But i would insist they read the book which is alot richer although personally, i didn't like the ending... It's a tad too simplistic...
Yishun Hokkien Mee
Heard much about this Hookien Mee Stall at Yishu.... I simply had to try it as a HOKKIEN MEE fan... but was disappointed by it... ok la... not really that disappointed la.. more like it was not the type of Hokkien Mee that I like... :P It was to the dry side and starchy side...
The Char Kway Teow tasted like Char Mee instead... cos there was so little Kway Teow... and it was also very dry.. the black sauce they use tasted more like those you use for soon kueh!
Tiger Air Offers... S$0.88cents to BKK/Phuket
Tempting.... wanna go during my manning period... but... SCHOOL HOLIDAYS... so no more $0.88cents tickets!! :(
My Birthday Dinner - Yueming
Look at this bubbly aunty looking and eating all the food! Of cos I ate too... :) Crystal Jade at Parkway Parade... I think the standard here not so good! The Prawns were not crispy at all! So... we had Roasted Pig/Char Siew and Siew Yoke.. Salted Egg Prawns, Mushroom with Beef and a Frog Leg Winter Melon Soup.. She gobble all the food and complaint that she was too full... yet she requested for ice cream after that! *shock*
Well... it was suppose to be a birthday treat for me but I ended up paying! *hmmm*
Marina Loft
Surprisingly... there was not much crowd tonight! Maybe cos it's Mother's Day and ppl will be eating at high class places!
We had CHICKEN LAKSA... ROJAK... it was just a simply cheap meal... :)
Xin Wang HK Cafe
This is a new place that I just discovered!Nice ambience.... cool and hip place... decoration is a beauty! Food reasonably priced... Unique too....
Soup Noodle with Chye Poh Egg and Pork floss ($6.90)... how HK can it get!? It's like what you find in HK's Char Chan Tang!
We like the taste of the pork floss that went well with the soupy noodles. I know what I can add in my next Instant Noodles....
Pork Rib with Fried Bee hoon... nice and homely! But will be nice if there are more eggs!
The Mango Ice Snow was huge.... ($6.90)... quite nice... we were shivering after we ate that!
The drinks... Yin Yang and HK Milk tea were serve in these metal cups.... did i mention this place was unique or what!
The curry rice here has a consistant queue... so must be good la.... wow... quite a huge variety.. and all my favorite! Pork Chop, Steam Egg with Mince Meat, Fried fish, stream mince pork, chap chye, curry chicken, fried prawns.... spoilt for choice here! But I am alone... can only eat that much!
Wisma Food Republic
Hawaiian BBQ Bistro
Our Pearl is working here now. A18 Marine Cove 1000 East Coast Parkway (Same building as McDonald's East Coast Park)
The food was not too bad. Buffet spread consist of fish fillet, lamb chops, beef, prawns, sausages, , sotong, honey glazed chicken wings, etc. They even had BBQ bananas and pineapple... quite unique I must say!
Something worth mentioning here is the free flow herbal drink that they have... it was supered! I do not know what they have in there... but I think I drank my worth within the hour... they also have their pineapple drink and ice blended. But do go for the herbal drink...
There is also a small section where they have fish and chips, pasta, breads, soup and salad etc!
Whampoa Drive Hawker Centre
Block 90, Whampoa Drive has been around for more than 30 years. It offers local delights such as rojak, fried oyster and cze char.
We tried the curry fish head from Uncle Sim and did not regret it. We were fortunate that we manage to order as once I placed my order, they turn off the lights as they are sold out for the day! The fish head served in a claypot, lady’s fingers and tau pok, the curry gravy was fragrantly lemak (full of coconut milk) and spicy without overwhelming the taste buds, and the fish was amazingly fresh!
I also went to queue for the famous Balestier Road Hoover Luo Za’s rojak. And thank goodness again... I was within the last 5 plates of what is available. The rest of the people behind me was rejected. NO MORE NO MORE... the aunty told everyone with a smile... Served on a piece of fresh lettuce, the rojak is a delightful mix of crispy you tiao (dough fritters), pineapple slices, turnip, cucumber, tau pok, bean sprouts and chewy jellyfish, topped with a generous dose of peanut powder. Added in a century egg cos Gladdy like it!
The hawker centre is slated for renovations in July. But those who have yet to sample the delicious hawker fare, fret not — the stalls will be temporarily housed in the food centre in front of Block 77, Whampoa Drive.
Pasta Mania @ Junction 8
I tried PM @ Tampiness Mall before, Cineleisure and I thought Pasta Mania was not too bad... well... my impression of PM changed after I tried this one at BISHAN JUNCTION 8.... it was horrible... the Pizza was tasteless, the Shrooms and Prawns was watery! It was simply horrible!
Cakes from Breadtalk
Look at this decorated cake from Breadtalk... I am amazed! What's next!?
Beef Noodles @ Purvis Street
Andrew recommended this Beef noodles store during one of our chats. It was unique with the crushed peanut and salted vege. Not too bad! Quite like it!
Gladdy's virgin trip here!
Reincarnation
Watched this at Century Sq.... scary? Ok la...
35 years ago...A random act of violence is committed at a tourist hotel. A college professor, possessed by madness, goes on a killing spree, slaughtering 11 hotel guests and employees. While recording his acts of violence on an 8mm camcorder, he slashes one victim after another, as they run for their lives. Present ....Matsumura (played by Kippei Shiina) is a director who wants to turn this crime story into a movie. Titled “Memory” he casts a young actress, Nagisa Sugiura (Yuuka) as the heroine of his project. But as their shoot date closes in, Nagisa begins to see creepy dreams and hallucinations. Meanwhile, several other people start seeing similar nightmares and illusions – is the grudge of the victims from 35 years ago surfacing? http://www.j-horror.com/rinne/index.html
Village Wok
May Day Lunch! The place use to be GOOD CHANCE POH PIAH... now taken over by VILLAGE WOK!
We had the famous COLD CRAB and their Oyster Noodles... We thought the the Noodles were the black coloured kind... but when it was served... it was the pale kind. Did not like it at all... somehow the noodles spoilt the whole experience!
Something that pissed me off also, we were also charged 4 packets of wet tissue even though there was only the two of us.
